The North American office reflects the growing demand for BMJ’s journals, clinical decision support tools, and quality improvement solutions, in the world’s largest healthcare market, says BMJ.
BMJ publishes The BMJ and a portfolio of more than 60 leading medical and allied science journals, including several that are published in collaboration with US based medical societies and associations.
“BMJ has successfully operated in the United States for many years now. The establishment of the new office fortifies our presence here and will help maintain the momentum and growth we are currently experiencing,” commented Tim Brooks, CEO of BMJ.
He added: “Most of BMJ’s revenues now originate outside of the UK, so the opening of the US office is another step in supporting our global business.”
Glen Campbell, Managing Director of BMJ operations in North America, added: “Our new office and local staff will be able to properly support our growing business and better serve our customers in the United States and Canada. There is boundless opportunity in this market, and our expanded influence will reinforce BMJ’s mission to build a healthier world.”
Located on the Hudson River waterfront at Two Hudson Place, the new office includes staff in marketing, sales, publishing, and customer support. It adds to BMJ offices in other parts of the world, including China and Brazil.
