British Airways launches First Life for iPad

First Life, the in-flight magazine produced for British Airways first-class customers, is now available to download for free on the iPad and iPad mini, opening up the luxury title to a wider global audience.

Sponsored by master watchmakers Patek Phillippe, the new bi-monthly tablet magazine presents the classic First Life content in a rich, interactive, high-resolution format. It also includes bonus material such as exclusive images and articles, as well as interactive maps and behind-the-scenes videos.

Produced for BA by content marketing agency Cedar, First Life showcases the luxury lifestyle of British Airways’ elite audience. Each issue is themed – covering everything from design, architecture and art through to food, fashion and ‘no expense spared’ pastimes, using high-profile contributors and world-class photographers.

Harriet Cooper, First Life editor, said, “First Life is the very last word in luxury and decadence around the globe. With such widespread interest in premium travel and with the magazine’s mobile and affluent readership, it makes perfect sense to launch a tablet edition for people to enjoy both on and off the plane.”

The March-April 2013 issue of First Life is available to download for iPad for free from the App store now.

All British Airways’ in-flight publications, including First Life, are published by Cedar.

From the May-June 2013 issue of First Life, the new editor on the magazine will be Jane Dunford.
