The PPA Next Gen Awards champion some of the most exciting rising stars in the UK publishing and specialist media sector.

The PPA last week announced 30 of some of the most exciting rising stars in UK specialist media as winners of its 2024 Next Gen Awards. From video creators, dynamic data analysts, engaging writers, event and marketing stars, and commercial wizards – the PPA says this year’s winners showcase the diverse skills shaping the future of our industry.

Winners will be celebrated at an invite-only event on 17 October at Virgin Hotels London - Shoreditch.

Greg Williams, editor-in-chief WIRED UK & deputy global editorial director, WIRED commented: “It’s really important to nurture the next generation of talent because publishing is an incredibly dynamic lively business – platforms are shifting, business models are shifting, so we need new ideas, voices, and talent”

Student of the Year

The PPA says this award celebrates the future creators of the industry, who have showcased exceptional work during their studies, and display promise to be the talent of tomorrow. According to the PPA, the judges were so impressed with the entries they have awarded a postgraduate and undergraduate winner.
