City A.M. expands news team

City A.M., London's business newspaper, has boosted its news team with the appointment of Ravender Sembhy as news editor and Billy Bambrough as deputy news editor.

Ravender Sembhy was previously business editor at International Business Times UK. He has held a range of journalism roles including deputy City editor at Sunday Express and, earlier, reporter at Press Association. Bringing over eight years of business reporting experience, he assumed his role as news editor at City A.M. in September 2015.

Billy Bambrough joins City A.M. from Share Radio, the London business radio station, where he was chief reporter covering business and global markets. Previously, Bambrough has worked as deputy editor across three trade magazines focusing on the international banking industry, and has had work published in the Financial Times and the New Statesman. Bambrough takes up his role as deputy news editor on November 1 2015.

Christian May, editor, said: “At City A.M. we pride ourselves on being the authoritative source of breaking news in the City for our readers. With the appointment of Ravender and Billy, our news team will be stronger than ever and we’re delighted to welcome them on board.”
