Collingwood’s US and Canadian client base has expanded rapidly in the last 18 months, encompassing events, publishing, membership and information subscriptions companies, says the company.
Debra Chipman will lead Collingwood’s presence in North America, coordinate advisory programs, and act as Strategic Adviser to the Boards of key clients. She is an experienced C-level executive who was part of the core management team at IIR during its stellar growth and subsequent sale to Informa, says Collingwood Advisory.
Ms Chipman has 30+ years of multinational experience blending strategy, leadership, and operational finance skill sets in both private and publicly owned companies.
Piers Bearne, Founder and CEO of Collingwood Advisory, said, “We are proud and happy to welcome Debra to the Collingwood faculty. She played a major role in the IIR success story, and has a unique blend of leadership, management, product and corporate finance expertise. Just as importantly, she has been an entrepreneur herself and will advise our clients with empathy and deep understanding.”
Debra Chipman said, “I’m thrilled to join the Collingwood Advisory team as a strategic advisor to the boards of our key clients. It’s a tremendously exciting time in the B2B media and events space, and I look forward to collaborating with entrepreneurs to drive both their success and Collingwood’s growth in the US market.”
