Dennis partners with Advertising Week Europe

Dennis Publishing has announced its involvement in the very first Advertising Week Europe, held in London from 18th March to 21st March 2013.

Dennis Publishing says: The week-long festival will bring together 15,000 of the world’s best and brightest minds in media, from Frank Abagnale and Susie Essman to industry giants such as Pepsi’s Frank Cooper and WWP’s Sir Martin Sorrell. The events will include original research reveals, a daily spotlight on start-ups, product launches, and a special address by Frank Abagnale on privacy.

As part of the partnership, Dennis is involved in three areas of the programme demonstrating Dennis’ range of businesses, innovation and insights.

• Dennis Enterprise, Dennis Publishing’s entrepreneurial arm, will be sponsoring AW Next Programme held every day at BAFTA. The programme is being hosted by DMR Partners who are looking for the 16 most compelling digital media innovators across mobile, social, video and other emerging channels to compete for “Best in Category” honours.

Dennis Publishing is delighted to sponsor the event and has close ties with the entrepreneurial community in the UK having invested and partnered with a number of such innovators since Dennis Enterprise was launched in 2010.

“It will be great to see what the UK media market can come up with on this global stage and I’m really looking forward to seeing the entries”, Martin Belson, MD, Dennis Enterprise.

• Kerin O’Connor, Chief Executive of Dennis Publishing’s flagship title The Week, will be hosting a keynote speech about The Week’s cross-platform success and the challenges of publishing on multiple platforms on Monday 18th (17.00) at the Princess Anne Theatre at BAFTA.

• Publishing mogul, multimillionaire entrepreneur and Dennis Publishing’s Chairman, Felix Dennis, will be making a rare industry appearance at one of the summit’s Leadership Breakfasts, on Thursday 21st March at Ronnie Scott’s. In his first public business address in over three years, Felix Dennis will touch upon his 40 years experience in international media and his love of publishing.

Julian Lloyd-Evans, Dennis Publishing’s MD of Advertising, who put together the programme and sits on Advertising Week Europe’s Advisory Board, says:  “We’re really excited to be involved in the first Advertising Week Europe. The festival has huge gravitas in the US and we have been big fans for a long time. It’s great to see the show now come to Europe. It has an impressive line-up of activity across the week and shows promise of becoming the ‘must-attend’ show in the advertising industry. It’s fantastic to have a forum that brings together advertisers from all sectors.”
