Egmont launches Monster High app

Egmont UK has announced the launch of its new ‘spooktacular’ Monster High App. Egmont Kids Media has the rights to develop and launch digital products based on Monster High Magazine content.

Laura Adnitt, Publisher of Monster High Magazine, Egmont Publishing Group, said “With the success of Monster High content, this app allows fans to interact more than ever before with their favourite Monster High characters. We hope it extends enjoyment of the magazine for current readers as well as attract a new audience to the magazine.”

Helena Mansell-Stopher, Sr. Manager Consumer Products UK & Nordics, Mattel, explains “As we continue to offer our ever growing Monster High fan base a diverse range of online activity it is exciting to collaborate with Egmont to launch the first ever Monster High Magazine app; it’s highly engaging and is a great way for our fans to interact with the brand.”

Targeting Monster High fans, (girls aged 7-12) the App features interactive stories where tweens can chill with all the ghouls, plus a design section for personalised Monster High creations.

Readers can earn pins which update their toolbox with fangtastic Monster High graphics and stickers for use in the design section and fans can visit the Monster Store in the app for additional stories, webisodes, pins and other scary cool features, says Egmont.

The Monster High App will be extensively promoted over the next few months with editorial, advertising, competitions and a video demo across Monster High Magazine, Go Girl Magazine, www.monsterhigh.com, www.GoGirlmagazine.co.uk, www.egmont.co.uk, YouTube, the Monster High UK Facebook page, plus Egmont’s social media channels.

The Monster High App is available in the UK now for FREE on the iPad, iPad2 & iPad mini.
