Forbes.com enhances its BrandVoice offering

At the 2013 IAB Annual Leadership Meeting held in Phoenix Arizona, Forbes.com this week announced the launch of new home pages for its BrandVoice thought leadership platform, featuring an updated design and expanded functionalities to help marketing partners better leverage the platform.

According to Forbes: Labelled “Connecting Marketers to the Forbes Audience,” the home pages have been optimized for the mobile and smartphone experience. They display an activity stream as well as a live social feed of comments from BrandVoice writers and readers. A new archive tab also now allows BrandVoice marketers to search all posts that they may have published.

In addition, as a response to marketers’ demands, Forbes has developed a suite of services that are designed to help marketers become “brand journalists.” These services include offering advice around content development and SEO optimization, as well as distribution and syndication opportunities through text syndication, content ads and social promotion. A robust analytics suite allows marketers to track their BrandVoice content on the broader social web.

“We are constantly looking to grow and evolve our BrandVoice thought leadership platform to better meet the needs of our marketing partners,” said Mark Howard, Forbes Media Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy. “The new suite of features that we’ve introduced will help marketers not only track the people who view and engage with their BrandVoice content – but also measure that engagement.”

More than two dozen companies have used BrandVoice since its launch more than two years ago.

“We define thought leadership as topical domain expertise. Our BrandVoice platform has proven to be of great value to a broad range of marketing partners – and a growth opportunity for Forbes,” said ForbesMedia Group Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer Meredith Levien. “As the demands have increased from marketers both large and small, so has our business model evolved.”

Forbes offers BrandVoice as part of large advertising programs and through a site license model. The site license, which can be purchased at a standard or elite level, gives marketers the opportunity to publish directly into the BrandVoice platform. Site licenses are offered monthly, for a minimum of 3 months, and range between $50,000 and $75,000 per month depending on the level of associated content promotion and syndication.
