Andreas Bergman: “Flow is an intuitive tool for workflow automation – designed for a cloud-first future, with modern and scalable architecture.”

Fotoware, a provider of digital asset management (DAM), has introduced Flow, a tool and an add-on to Fotoware Veloz, it says tailored to automate repetitive tasks and ensure complete control – all from an intuitive and scalable interface. Built in response to the complex requirements of organizations, Fotoware says Flow addresses the challenges of asset intake, metadata enrichment, and multi-platform distribution.

Flow provides a unified workspace where users can manage various content workflows and monitor their performance through various stages of production, continued Fotoware. The configurable workflow engine allows organizations to construct customized automations that reflect their editorial structures and compliance needs.

“With Flow, we bring your high-volume workflows to the cloud – automating the repetitive tasks that are present in your DAM,” says Andreas Bergman, product manager of Flow.

“Flow is an intuitive tool for workflow automation – designed for a cloud-first future, with modern and scalable architecture. We’ve seen a lot of interest in our SaaS platform and want to ensure you can perform business-critical operations in the cloud, faster and better than the alternatives.”

According to Fotoware, key features of Flow include:

  • Automated asset ingestion via FTP, enabling rapid processing of incoming files from photographers, agencies, or remote contributors
  • Automatic metadata population, with flexible use of dynamic tags, such as time references, user information, and more
  • File transfer via FTP
  • Comprehensive audit logging for traceability and accountability.
  • Browser-based operation, allowing decentralized teams to collaborate in real time

With scalability in mind, Flow is suited for a wide range of teams, from newsrooms managing time-sensitive material to large organizations handling high volumes of assets with complex distribution requirements, added the company. Fotoware Veloz – of which Flow is a part – supports granular access control, ensuring content governance and security are maintained across diverse teams.
