GamesMaster Presents the best of gaming

Future, the special-interest media group, has revealed GamesMaster Presents – a new series of premium bimonthly specials dedicated to video gaming icons.

Issue one celebrates the 25th anniversary of the world’s most popular plumber with GamesMaster Presents Mario. Gaming’s greatest hero is immortalised with 132 pages covering everything you need to know from his origins in Donkey Kong right up to 2010’s acclaimed Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Some of Mario’s greatest secrets are revealed, his legendary creator Shigeru Miyamoto is profiled, and there are five exclusive gifts - including Wii and DS customisation stickers, year planner and badges. It’s all wrapped up, say the publishers, in a stunning card wallet with foil block printing, making this a lavishly crafted collector’s edition of the finest quality. GamesMaster Presents Mario hits shops today or can be ordered direct from My Favourite Magazines.

According to Future, the GamesMaster brand continues to go from strength to strength as it heads towards its second decade, with GamesMaster Presents following the Future and Mirror Group partnership that sees GamesMaster experts providing content for the Daily Mirror.

Robin Alway, Editor-in-Chief of GamesMaster says: “Mario’s the best loved games character in the world. So it’s an honour to give him the kind of 25th anniversary celebration he deserves with the first issue of GamesMaster Presents. We couldn’t be happier with the finished results and look forward to creating more collector’s edition magazine packages for some of gaming’s biggest icons and launches.”

Robert Saunders, Head of Communications at Nintendo UK says: "We are delighted to partner with Future on the launch of the new GamesMaster Presents series. As one of the best-established games media brands in the UK, GamesMaster was the perfect partner to help us celebrate 25 years of Mario."

Future is an authority on Mario and all things Nintendo, having published Official Nintendo Magazine since 2006.

GamesMaster Presents Mario is on sale now priced at £7.99.
