The List features design professionals including interior designers, architects, garden designers and specialists from around the UK, including entries from Dundee and Newcastle, Belfast and Penzance.
A special section on the HOUSE website, the digital iteration of House & Garden, The List offers a forum for anyone offering a bespoke design service to advertise their expertise in a slick, editorial fashion, say the publishers. The List is searchable by area, name and specialism.
Emily Senior, Editor of HOUSE commented: “We know that people turn to us for advice and guidance; so launching a definitive directory of the British design industry felt like a natural evolution. There is an appetite for design in the UK like never before, and the way people are investing in their homes is far more conscientious. Consumers actively want to support local businesses, and The List is a way of illuminating the best people in your area to carry out the work you need done on your house.”
Hatta Byng, Editor of House & Garden added: “Whatever the scale of your project, it can be hugely daunting find the right people to help you. The List brings together everybody from architects to cushion-makers, big name interior designers and those who will happily get a single pair of curtains made for you - and importantly people that are local to you. It’s a brilliantly useful resource. For those on The List, it is exposure to readers hungry for advice on who to help with their projects and who look to House & Garden for guidance. It is a very natural extension of our 100 leading interior designers directory.”
Kate Slesinger, Publishing Director of House & Garden said: “The List will allow House & Garden to broaden its reach both within the design industry as well as among those who are actively seeking design professionals to work on their home. We are delighted and proud to be launching this ‘media first’ which will have great appeal to our advertisers as they look for new ways to bring their services to the attention of the House & Garden community.”
HOUSE will also be looking to The List to help source imagery for their decoration inspiration galleries, and as a source for ‘Before & After’ stories.
