IAB UK appoints Roisin Donnelly

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) yesterday announced the appointment of Roisin Donnelly to spearhead its advertiser engagement work.

Newly appointed CEO, Jon Mew said, “Primarily my aims as CEO are to re-assert positivity around digital marketing and to increase our engagement with brands and agencies. Roisin is supremely qualified in this space to help us promote and simplify digital for advertisers. Not only has she managed some of the biggest budgets in marketing, she brings a wealth of experience in delivering world-class campaigns. She truly understands how to get the most from digital media.”

Donnelly will chair a new IAB UK Advertiser Steering Group at the IAB. The programme will ensure advertisers are fully aware of the benefits digital advertising has to offer and stay up to speed on the latest opportunities.

Donnelly has a wealth of industry experience having worked as Brand Director for Northern Europe at Procter and Gamble. Originally joining the company’s graduate scheme, she moved on to roles including Corporate Marketing Director and UK Head of Marketing for the FMCG giant. More recently she joined the Just Eat board as an independent non-executive director as well as serving on the board of the ASA where she is chair of the Performance Review Committee. She is a former member of Facebook’s client council.

Rosin Donnelly said, “I am delighted to be joining the IAB team and will help put the consumer and the advertiser at the centre of the IAB agenda. This is an exciting time for the IAB as digital advertising has reached record levels but we face some important challenges. I will support Jon and the IAB members to drive the future of the digital industry in the UK.”
