IPC to offer video production

Online video production specialist Video Direct has been chosen by IPC Media to supply video production services to its online classified directory advertisers.

Media sales teams across IPC’s titles, ranging from Nuts to Horse & Hound, will now add video production and promotion to their portfolio of advertising products, with Video Direct undertaking all elements of production, editing, hosting and tracking. Each professionally produced video will benefit from 12 months of targeted online promotion on the relevant IPC website.

Increasing numbers of advertisers are looking to use online video advertising which saw growth of 195% last year alone. With most unable to afford the creative budgets required to produce film that sits comfortably as a pre-roll or stand alone commercial, many are turning to more reasonable methods. Through a network of 350 professional film makers, Video Direct provides advertisers across the UK with easy access to affordable video advertising enabling them to tell their own story in an engaging way and the online channels with which to promote it.

Tina Veater, Sales Director of Video Direct said, “Supplying high volume video production on a wholesale basis means we can keep costs to a minimum, allowing publishers to generate significant extra revenue from existing ad sales activity. It also allows them to provide their advertisers with access to an effective and affordable online advertising media and importantly the platform on which to promote it.”

Cathy Neale (pictured), Group Advertising Director at IPC Media said “From our perspective it’s a simple way of encouraging small businesses to use video and the support that we’re getting from Video Direct is fantastic.”
