Jemm selects AppNexus

Jemm Group, the real-time advertising network, has selected AppNexus as its exclusive ad technology platform, the company publicly announced yesterday.

AppNexus, a world leader in real-time advertising technology, provides Jemm with robust and scalable real-time bidding (RTB) capabilities for its display advertising inventory. Jemm has also innovated on top of the AppNexus platform, enhancing and customizing its offerings to increase value for its publisher and advertiser base.

AppNexus serves the real-time advertising needs of both the buy- and sell-side, including ad networks, publisher networks, demand-side platforms (DSPs), trading desks, and other online advertising companies. AppNexus already works with the most sophisticated companies in the market, such as Microsoft Ad Exchange, Harvest Digital and Infectious Media.

Julia Smith, Global Communications Director at Jemm said: “By leveraging AppNexus’ technology platform, Jemm is able to deliver a strong proposition to buyers and sellers. We have moved away from a traditional ad network model and are now focused on working with other like-minded players in order to deliver a compelling offer for the publisher market.”

Since recently migrating to the AppNexus platform, Jemm claims to have seen click-through rates (CTRs) dramatically increase. In the first month alone, CTR tripled across campaigns delivered via the AppNexus platform. This highlights the potential for Jemm, using AppNexus’ technology, to boost performance marketing and improve response rates for buyers, which is paramount to the advertising industry. Advertiser demand for display continues to rise as real-time trading not only becomes an attractive option, but an essential part of a marketer’s campaign.

According to AppNexus’ proprietary reporting, the European market for RTB is growing rapidly, with an average of 25 billion advertising impressions served each month during Q4 2011 via the AppNexus platform. Over the last year the number of global impressions served via the AppNexus platform has increased by 859 percent.

Since Jemm Group evolved its business from a traditional ad network to an RTB network, it has seen a year-on-year increase of 300 million additional impressions traded per month, and an improvement in CTR from 0.04 percent to 0.12 percent in just one year.

Alex Friesen at QSoft said: “We have worked with Jemm for over two years and have been continually impressed by the level of professionalism and service. As their business has evolved to embrace real-time bidding, we as a publisher have benefited from having our inventory placed in front of the new breed of technology buyers. By working with Jemm Group, we know that our inventory is being made available to every potential buyer - from agencies to ATDs to DSPs. This ensures that we achieve maximum reach and have seen a noticeable increase in our eCPM.”
