John Teal steps down at the Mail

After 25 years service at Associated Newspapers, 14 of which have been in the role of Advertisement Director, John Teal will be leaving the company at the end of September 2012.

Teal (pictured), 56, landed the newly created post of Mail Newspapers Advertisement Director in October 2008 when Associated took the decision to merge the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday commercial teams.

Guy Zitter said: “John’s service and record with the company has been exemplary. We respect his decision to look for other opportunities and he has our very best wishes for his future.”

John Teal said: “I have been thinking about my future plans for some time and after 25 years, now seems the right time for a change.”

Rosemary Gorman, currently Deputy Advertisement Director, will assume John’s responsibilities.
