Marcus Rich appointed Commercial MD of A&N Media

Marcus Rich has been appointed Commercial Managing Director of A&N Media. Rich will now report directly to Kevin Beatty, A&N Media's Chief Executive.

Beatty said: "I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Rich (pictured) as Commercial Managing Director of A&N Media.

"This is a newly-created post which will ensure that A&N Media remains at the forefront in providing our customers with the most effective marketing solutions through our portfolio of leading media brands.

"Given the significant changes taking place in our sector it is important that we too change to sustain the commercial revenues from our newspapers, accelerate growth in our newer digital businesses and bring new products to market with speed and impact.

"Key executives and senior managers from across A&N Media, decided after recent strategy meetings to develop a client-facing team able to represent all the Group's current and future media assets. They also agreed that greater success would only be achieved if talent was brought together, with insight and expertise across all the commercial teams.

"I have asked Marcus Rich to lead not only the new client-facing commercial team but also this new approach across the Group, working in partnership with Martin Clarke, publisher and CEO of Mail Online, Linda Grant, Managing Director of Metro, and Guy Zitter, Managing Director of Mail Newspapers and their respective advertising-management teams.

"The individual brand agency sales and trading teams will remain within their respective businesses but we will also continue to improve the way our brands are represented to media agencies."

Marcus Rich said: "I am really looking forward to leading this new commercial initiative.

"I am confident that the cross pollination of talent across the Group, will help us not only achieve growth in the near term but also introduce the plans, skills and capabilities to secure future growth.

"We want to give our clients even greater customer insight and further increase the return they get on their investment."
