Merv Griffin joins 5 fifteen

Publishing solutions provider 5 fifteen has appointed Merv Griffin as new Business Development Manager in a move to optimise customer support, reach new territories and generate new business.

According to Rod Fenwick, Managing Director 5 fifteen Ltd, the plan for growth follows a successful year for the business in 2010, which included a noteworthy order from Hearst Magazines and the National Magazine Company.

“Coming from the role of Global Product Marketing Manager, Merv has a wealth of experience to help us move in the direction we’re aiming for. With 23 years experience in publishing, working with media businesses around the world in advertising, finance, content management and web content management, he’s already a great asset to the 5 fifteen team,” states Fenwick.

Griffin will oversee the strategic development of 5 fifteen into new markets worldwide, broaden distributor networks overseas, introduce new sales models where necessary and ensure that the capacity of the business matches demand.

“I’m thrilled to be working with a dedicated team of professionals with a genuinely modern product philosophy,” Griffin comments, “There are some very exciting projects in the pipeline as we focus on fast and flexible deployment of the latest innovative publishing solutions.”

Griffin’s experience also includes sales, project and consultancy work with major organisations including Le Monde (France), ABP Kolkata (India), Trinity Mirror (UK), Wegener (Netherlands), Yedioth (Israel), MAFRA (Czech Republic) and the BBC.
