At the end of September Haymarket announced the launch of MIMS Pharma, which is now live. According to the publisher, MIMS Pharma was initially developed as a specialist section on MIMS – the prescribing resource for UK healthcare professionals where pharmaceutical companies have long taken an interest in the medical news and comprehensive drug database.
Haymarket Business Media says investment over the past two years has allowed the MIMS team to build a range of trackers and data products specifically for pharma industry subscribers working in key functions, including market access, competitive intelligence, pricing, supply, sales and marketing.
MIMS Pharma joins MIMS, MIMS Learning, GP, and GP Business as the fifth brand in the UK medical portfolio.
The launch of the standalone MIMS Pharma website is the latest step on the journey to create a unique package of news, information, data, and clinical intelligence, to help this valuable audience better understand the factors affecting their markets – including the behaviour of prescribers, the publisher continued.
Editor of MIMS and MIMS Pharma Chloe Harman said: “Since its launch as a dedicated section on the MIMS website last year, the success of MIMS Pharma has validated our conviction that MIMS data and insights have huge value for the pharmaceutical industry.
“With MIMS Pharma having gone from strength to strength as part of the MIMS website, it’s exciting to see the brand now fully fledged into a standalone site – still seamlessly linked to MIMS – dedicated solely to this new audience, where we can start to realise a host of new ideas we have to serve users with our unparalleled prescribing insights and intelligence.”
Medical Business Director Emma Broderick said: “I am excited about the next phase for MIMS Pharma. We have already seen success with the content we have been producing, and the team has worked hard to create MIMS Pharma as a standalone site. We have some exciting plans ahead to develop this brand further, and I am looking forward to expanding the brand”.
