New Deputy Editor for BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine

Immediate Media has appointed Kevin Smith as the new deputy editor of BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine.

Kevin, began his career in publishing at Garden Answers magazine and over the past 15 years has written and commissioned for a number of titles, including The Guardian, The Daily Express, The Garden, Amateur Gardening, Garden News, Grow Wild, Homes and Gardens, Garden Answers and as commissioning editor on Gardeners’ World Magazine between 2005 and 2010. Kevin has spent the last five years freelancing in garden writing, editing and content creation. This has included creating video content for gardenersworld.com, hosting live events at the annual Gardeners' World Live show, and working as Features Coordinator for the magazine since 2014.

Kevin will report in to BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Editor, Lucy Hall, and his responsibilities will include managing the magazine's editorial content day-to-day, and helping to identify new opportunities for audience engagement across multiple platforms.
