New Editor in Chief at Top Gear

BBC Worldwide has announced that Charlie Turner has been appointed Editor in Chief of Top Gear Magazine, with Tom Ford appointed as Associate Editor.

Charlie Turner (pictured) is currently Acting Editor and Creative Director and has been with Top Gear Magazine since 2003. Prior to that he was at F1 magazine and Car magazine.

Tom Ford is a former Deputy Editor of Top Gear Magazine and was Road Test editor of Car magazine. He has also been a presenter on Channel Five's Fifth Gear.

Simon Carrington, Publisher of Top Gear, said: "I am delighted that we have appointed Charlie Turner as Editor in Chief for Top Gear Magazine. Charlie has been Acting Editor since the summer, and having done a fantastic job thoroughly deserves this opportunity. I'm equally delighted that Tom Ford has rejoined the magazine as Associate Editor."
