BSME Awards 2024: Shortlist revealed

BSME has unveiled the shortlists for its 2024 awards.

BSME Awards 2024: Shortlist revealed
Gideon Spanier: “Congratulations to everyone who is shortlisted for the BSME Awards 2024. The number of entries is up this year and the competition between editors, art directors and columnists is intense.”

The British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) says its judges enjoyed reviewing the selection of entries across all sectors, and say they have selected the very best in each category.

The BSME says its a1wards recognise the work of some of the best editors, as well as art directors, writers and columnists, launches and some of the most eye-catching covers. There are two special awards chosen by the BSME committee – the Mark Boxer Award and the Editors' Editor of the Year Award – which BSME says recognises extraordinary individuals for their dedication and outstanding contribution.

BSME Chair Gideon Spanier said: “Congratulations to everyone who is shortlisted for the BSME Awards 2024. The number of entries is up this year and the competition between editors, art directors and columnists is intense.

“The judges have loved looking at the range of work — from wonderful story-telling and powerful, campaigning journalism to punchy covers and innovative, digital art and design.

“We look forward to a brilliant evening to celebrate the BSME Awards on 18 November where we will reveal the best of the best across the UK magazine sector.”

BSME says winners will be announced by hosts Kola Bokinni and Gideon Spanier on Monday 18 November 2024 at a black-tie event at Rosewood London.
