NME wins more awards

NME is celebrating another triple victory after picking up three prizes at last week’s Record of the Day Awards for Music Journalism and PR.

The multi platform music brand was named Magazine of the Year and Digital Publication of the Year, while editor Krissi Murison was named Editor of the Year.

The event, now in its seventh year, took place at the Idea Generation Gallery in London.

The awards marked the second hat-trick for NME this month – and the second win for editor Krissi Murison, following success at the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Awards. NME winners were: Krissi Murison (Fiona MacPherson new consumer editor of the year); David Moynihan (website editor of the year, consumer); and former art director Joe Frost (art director of the year, consumer weekly).

Publishing director Paul Cheal says: “After major wins this year at the PPAs, AOPs and BSMEs, such great recognition at the Record of the Day Awards is the icing on the cake.”
