Photography Week celebrates first birthday with special free issue!

Photography Week, the digital magazine for enthusiast photographers from Future, celebrates its first birthday with a special free issue.

To mark this anniversary, issue #53 of Photography Week is completely free and available now through the AppStore.

'The Free Issue' of Photography Week features ideas for free kit hacks, highlights free apps and software and gives readers free entry to a competition to win a Nikon 1 V2 kit worth $1,300.

New subscribers also get a further five issues free. With an annual 52-issue subscription costing £19.99/$28.99, this magazine is therefore less than 40p/65c per issue.

Every issue of Photography Week is packed with interactive slideshows, features and videos to help photographers of all skill levels improve their images and get more from their camera and kit.

Photography Week showcases readers' images and opinions every week, with a reader-submitted shot used on the cover itself. This approach to user-generated content was cited by the judging panel of the PPA, who described it as "tremendously innovative" and "beautifully packaged" when awarding it the PPA Digital Innovation of the Year.

Matthew Pierce, Head of Photography at Future says: "It's been an incredible year for Photography Week: the team has reinvented what a photography brand can offer on digital platforms, and it's deservedly the number one photography title in AppStores worldwide. Innovation is crucial in this sector, so we're planning some exciting new developments in the coming months."

Paul Grogan, Editor of Photography Week, says: "Photography Week is truly a magazine for the community, by the community. From our front covers to our slideshows and opinion pages, our readers contribute to every issue, and packing our birthday issue full of fantastic free stuff seem like a great way to say thank you."

Photography Week is part of Future's photography portfolio and is created by the teams behind Digital Camera, N-Photo, Practical Photoshop and PhotoPlus using Future’s own software, FutureFolio.
