Norwegian media company Polaris Media has signed a new agreement with Atex to adopt Cross-advertising and replace the current ad booking across all publications.
Based in Trondheim, Norway, Polaris Media is one of Scandinavia’s largest media groups. The company owns 72 newspaper titles, reaching almost 600,000 subscribers in the region.
Atex has been selected as the preferred vendor after a long procurement process involving the best technology providers in the space. Cross-advertising will replace the current system for a team of about 280 users working in the entire advertising booking process, says the company.
“The working group in Polaris Media Advertising, which has followed the project so far, considers Cross-advertising to be an exciting tool. It has been chosen because of the great range of features and the flexibility to integrate with the existing processes,” says Mari Ramstad, leader Polaris Media Annonse
Among the other reasons for the choice, says Atex, Polaris Media evaluated that Cross-advertising:
- is adapted to Norwegian, Scandinavian and European models for booking, invoicing, VAT calculation, GDPR, and more;
- has a smart shopping cart function that will work well together with the existing digital ad booking tool;
- provides a strong integration engine (CAI) that will enable connecting to other group common solutions and applications.
“We are extremely excited for this new project. The agreement with Polaris Media positions Atex as the leading provider in Norway, following our recent announcement of the new partnership with Schibsted”, commented Tom York, head of the advertising business unit, Atex.
“We look forward to work closely with the team in Trondheim on this project: it’s exciting to see how people will improve their productivity by leveraging the integrated features and the automation provided”, added Jens Holmstrom, Operations Manager, Atex
Cross-advertising is the Atex solution for multichannel booking, designed for selling advertising across print, digital, radio, video, outdoor, social and more. It includes everything needed to sell, book, deliver and invoice ads in a single system. At the same time, it provides an integration engine that allows media companies to connect Cross-advertising with existing tools and processes in a seamless workflow.
