Starting life as a small publishing company in 1839, Schibsted is now the largest media group in Scandinavia, employing more than 5,000 people across Europe.
Aftenposten (founded in 1860), Bergens Tidende (founded in 1868), Stavanger Aftenblad (founded in 1893) and Verdens Gang (first published in 1945) are the leading newspapers in Norway. Together with several regional titles, they make Schibsted the leading media provider in the country, says Atex.
Cross-advertising is a multichannel booking system designed explicitly for selling advertising across print, digital, radio, video, outdoor, social and more. It includes everything needed to sell, book, deliver, and invoice ads in a single solution. At the same time, it provides an integration engine that allows media companies to connect Cross-advertising with existing tools and processes in a seamless workflow.
Schibsted has been using Cross-advertising in Sweden for most of the publications already. In a move to consolidate their global infrastructure, the team wanted to reduce the number of applications and provide a modern integration platform.
Thanks to the customisable booking features, a dedicated flatplan application and its powerful integration engine, Cross-advertising has been selected as the preferred system across the organisation.
As a result, says Atex, the team at Schibsted is now taking advantage of a single environment, integrated with the central CRM, the selected production system, and the ERP system, generating invoices according to the Norwegian invoicing standard.
“We found in Cross-advertising the perfect solution to consolidate our different brands and teams in a single system, and in Atex, a trusted partner to support our growth”, commented Ann Kristin Gåsbakk, Operational Excellence Manager at Schibsted Marketing Services.
