Following a review of its European print operations, The Guardian has appointed Roularta Printing as the new production partner for Guardian Weekly.

Roularta Printing selected as the new production partner for Guardian Weekly
Steven Renders: “We are very proud that The Guardian Weekly has placed its trust in us for European printing and distribution.”

The move brings printing closer to the magazine’s main distribution hubs and subscribers across Europe, helping to improve efficiency and reduce transport-related emissions, says Roularta Printing.

Roularta says its site in Belgium is recognised for its print quality, its decades of experience in weekly production and international distribution, timely delivery and strong environmental performance, including ISO-certified processes and a commitment to renewable energy.

David Kirwan, production director, Guardian News & Media said: “Roularta shares our focus on quality, sustainability and innovation. This partnership ensures Guardian Weekly continues to meet the highest standards while reducing our environmental impact.”

Steven Renders, general manager of Roularta Printing adds: “We are very proud that The Guardian Weekly has placed its trust in us for European printing and distribution. This collaboration highlights our position as a partner for leading publishers worldwide and reaffirms our expertise in delivering high-quality magazines on time, every time again.”

The change forms part of Guardian News & Media’s ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable publishing, says the company.
