PPA Advertising Awards 2013 – the winners

O2 scooped two top prizes at the PPA Advertising Awards 2013, the industry’s annual celebration of advertising across multi-platform magazine brands.

The telecoms giant won both Innovative Campaign of the Year and Collaboration of the Year for its Go Think Big campaign with ZenithOptimedia.

Judges commended the ‘truly ambitious’ work, which ‘delivered on its objectives and had a positive impact on the lives of many youngsters’.

Universal McCann also won two awards: Most Effective Campaign of the Year for its WindowsPhone People Powered Print campaign with Microsoft, and Integrated Campaign of the Year for its H&M Showcases work.

The awards were handed out at a ceremony at Paramount in London’s Centre Point on October 10. The event was sponsored by Active International and Powerlinks, and supported by media partner Brand Republic.

Other winners on the night included Procter and Gamble, which claimed the title of PPA Advertiser of the Year 2013, and MediaCom, which won the inaugural PPA Agency of the Year Award – the only category to be voted for by the commercial teams within PPA member companies.
