PPA Brings Publishing Futures to Life at Publishing & Media Expo 2015

Leading figures from the world of magazine media will explore the findings from the PPA's latest Publishing Futures research in a full day of seminars and panel discussions at this year's Publishing & Media Expo.

The sessions, which run under the banner of Publishing Futures Live, take place on Wednesday February 25 and will cover the key topics uncovered by the research - the PPA's annual bellwether of trends in the consumer magazine and business information sector.

Melanie Shah, Senior Conference Manager, Publishing & Media Expo said: "We're excited to be working with the PPA and Wessenden Marketing to bring Publishing Futures to life at this year's event. With top names in the publishing industry taking part this is an event not to be missed."

Speakers confirmed to date for Publishing Futures Live include Tom Bureau, CEO of Immediate Media; Simon Middelboe, Managing Director of Centaur Insight and Chair of PPA Business; Chris Gadsby, Commercial Marketing Director of Bauer Media; Claire Jenkinson, Managing Director - Conferences at Reed Business Information; and Abi Spooner, Head of Direct Marketing at Dennis Publishing.

Publishing Futures is based on data and opinion supplied by more than 80 leading consumer magazine and business media companies. The survey is conducted on behalf of the PPA by Wessenden Marketing, and is carried out in partnership with InPublishing magazine.

Barry McIlheney, CEO of the PPA, said: "In recent years Publishing Futures has given PPA members extremely valuable information on the factors influencing not just their own businesses but the industry as a whole, and it's exciting to be able to explore those key trends in a live environment at this year's Publishing & Media Expo."

Jim Bilton, Managing Director of Wessenden Marketing added: "Last year's Publishing Futures survey mapped a complex mix of optimism, realism and challenge for the industry. This year the landscape has changed again and at a faster pace. So, there are new benchmarks and fresh insights which we're going to be discussing. And in more detail than ever before."

The Publishing Futures Live sessions will run in the Strategy Theatre sponsored by Pensord at Publishing & Media Expo on 25 February.
