With a content and design refresh, say publishers Immediate Media, Procycling features even more in-depth interviews, the best cycling photography, a new clean, modern design which will appeal to both existing and new readers, and a new column by one of the sport’s most popular and articulate figures, Jens Voigt.

According to Immediate Media, the key changes include:

* Increased focus on the biggest stars in cycling, including bespoke portrait photography and in-depth writing by the best interviewers.

* More in-depth coverage of women’s cycling, reflecting and leading the growth in popularity of this side of the sport.

* A new monthly column by Jens Voigt.

* A new regular feature: Race Culture - bringing the colour and excitement of the sport to readers like never before.

* Best-in-class photography and in-depth testing of the latest pro kit.

* More race analysis, using the latest trends in data journalism

* A clean, contemporary and sophisticated design.

* Playing to the strengths of print, with high production values, good quality paper and brilliant photography.

The April issue features exclusive interviews and photo shoots with Fabian Cancellara and Tom Boonen, along with a celebration of the 100th Tour of Flanders, which takes place during the issue’s on-sale period. There’s also an on-the-ground report from the Volta ao Algarve; a photo feature from Het Nieuwsblad; an interview with Nikki Harris; a test of the super-light Fuji SL 1.1; Jens Voigt’s new column; and a feature on the future of the sport from Robert Millar.

Procycling’s editor Edward Pickering said: “Cycling is now one of the most popular sports in the English-speaking world. Procycling plays a big part in bringing the biggest stories to the sport’s fast-growing audience, celebrating the achievements of the winners, demystifying the tactics and giving readers access to the stars of the sport and its best events. Procycling covers the sport from the inside: we are at the races, on the ground. We use the very best cycling writers and the very best cycling photographers, and with our fantastic brand-new look, we can bring the sport alive in a way that nobody else can.”

The new look April issue of Procycling is on sale from Friday 25 March, priced £5.25.
