PSP Rare launches online publishing portal

PSP Rare, the customer magazine publishing agency, has launched an online publishing portal for its clients. Powered by emagine, the online publishing system from Wyndeham Pre-Press.

The customized website offers unrivalled flexibility and transparency for PSP Rare’s clients, and has created significant time savings in the publishing process, according to PSP.

Logging in via a secure password facility, PSP Rare’s clients such as British Heart Foundation, TDA, UKTI and Kia Motors have the ability to access their titles online providing a comprehensive overview of precisely where the magazine is within the production cycle. Editorial pages can be approved for pre-press from any remote location and they can repurpose assets at a touch of a button via access to an integrated photo library. Clients can also view instant online versions of their titles. With the recently launched EMag Digital Editions module, emagine also offers the capability to add rich media content and publish to the Internet, all in real-time.

By automating the publishing process with emagine, PSP Rare has achieved valuable time savings in the production cycle whilst maintaining the quality levels demanded from its clients. Within a single production environment the final PDF files are automatically transmitted with the right print specifications directly to the printer via FTP. The emagine portal also assists with the internal workflow at PSP Rare by streamlining the process and improving collaboration between the design and editorial teams.

Emma Elmer, Production Director, PSP Rare said: “Wyndeham Pre-Press understood our workflow requirements and developed a personalised, unique workflow system that delivers on every level. By using emagine we have been able to dramatically reduce the lead-times of our publishing schedules, and the system has afforded us a greater level of integration between internal departments and our clients.”

Greg Feltham, Client Services Director, Wyndeham Pre-Press added: “By utilising the latest technologies available through emagine, PSP Rare have launched this unique workflow for their publishing clients and are winning work as a result. PSP Rare and its clients benefit from being able to host editorial content online months prior to final PDF creation which can be easily repurposed for a number of integrated, multi-platform devices.”
