Reach hires Andy Williams
Andy Williams: "I am relishing the chance to meet so many talented colleagues and have the opportunity to help shape the next chapter for Reach in Scotland.”

Reach has announced the hire of former DC Thomson Chief Revenue Officer Andy Williams as business director for Scotland.

The publisher says in this newly created role, Andy - who spent 15 years at DC Thomson in such other roles as head of sales and head of advertising - will lead all commercial teams in Scotland across both client direct and agency teams.

Reach says its commercial arm continues to grow audiences at pace in Scotland across online and video, and is excited to bring new innovative commercial opportunities to the Scotland advertising market.

A brand new role reporting into Howard Parker, agency sales director for the UK Regions, it is the first time Reach says it has ever had a fully joined up link between its direct teams and full agency teams in Scotland.

Howard said: "I'm delighted Andy is joining us to stand over commercial activity in Scotland. We worked together for a number of years as part of the strategic partnership between Reach and DC Thomson so for us to have such an experienced senior exec lead our Scotland commercial teams is a fantastic opportunity.

"His vast experience will be a huge asset to Reach's Scottish team, enabling the teams to deliver on our commercial growth plans and produce great work for our broad base of existing and new customer. It also shows an important investment into our growth plans for Reach north of the border."

Andy said: "I’m delighted to share that I’ve started a new role as Business Director Scotland at Reach plc. I am relishing the chance to meet so many talented colleagues and have the opportunity to help shape the next chapter for Reach in Scotland. Whether that is supporting our teams, strengthening client partnerships, delivering the growth strategy, or making a positive impact in the communities we serve."
