Readly, a digital magazine and newspaper subscription app, has announced a partnership with Lidl to offer customers a free two month subscription to its portfolio of titles. The partnership is the latest in a series of brand collaborations for Readly and a strategic move to bring its broad portfolio of titles to grocery customers.
According to Readly, the partnership with Lidl involves Readly giving Lidl Plus rewards app customers a valuable offer for two months free reading, followed by 15 percent off its monthly subscription for six months. The Lidl partnership is live across several of Readly’s European markets.
Lidl Plus customers will gain access to Readly’s portfolio of 6,300 digital magazines and newspapers.
“We are delighted to partner with Lidl to offer its customers the opportunity to experience digital reading with our leading app. The grocery sector is taking important steps in digitising the way of shopping as well as their product offerings, which for us offers an exciting different way of attracting new users to our platform. We know from our data that customers appreciate being introduced to digital offers through brands they trust and have shopped with for a long time, and Lidl has that strong brand trust and large, loyal customer base. As a leader in their space we are proud to partner with Lidl across our various markets,” says Marie-Sophie von Bibra, chief marketing officer at Readly.
Readly’s partnership portfolio includes UK and global brands across the travel, retail and finance sectors such as Barclays, Diet Coke, Samsung, Three, TUI and many others.
According to the company, since establishing itself in the UK in 1994, Lidl is one of Europe’s leading organisations in the food retail industry. The supermarket has more than 341,000 employees globally, currently operates approximately 11,550 stores and more than 200 warehouses and distribution centres in 30 countries.
