Rebooted TotalFilm.com doubles traffic

TotalFilm.com, the movie site, has revealed the “phenomenal” success of its new-look website, which was relaunched last month.

With video now firmly at the heart of the site’s editorial proposition, video views have increased by over 700% month-on-month (source: Brightcove), and page impressions have more than doubled year-on-year, reaching over two million globally in a single day (source: comScore).

TotalFilm.com’s redesign has hugely improved the user experience for the ever-increasing audience, with clearer sections, new fonts and a fresh, clean layout, say the publishers. The drop-down video bar on every landing page shows trailers, clips and interviews, inviting users to scroll through the most popular items above the main page content.

Sharing articles through social media channels is now even more accessible with social networks fully integrated across every page. Total Film has over 108,000 Facebook fans, a following of over 70,000 people on Twitter and almost 46,000 Tumblr followers, all helping to drive even more traffic to the new site.
