Search for fittest person in media

To mark the launch of its new website, fitness magazine Men’s Fitness announces the start of a new nationwide search for the fittest person in media.

Mensfitness.co.uk has undergone a total redesign in order to maximise ease of navigation and enjoyment for their readers. The new site provides over 10,000 articles on training, diet, motivation and interviews with some of the biggest names in fitness, sport and movies, says Dennis Publishing. The new website also launches with a brand new fitness shop, stocking over 2,000 products, from the latest fitness equipment through to sports nutrition supplements.

Russell Blackman, Group Publisher of Men’s Fitness, said: “The appetite for Men’s Fitness content has never been stronger and it’s increasingly clear that our readers’ needs are evolving in the way they want to consume our content. Traffic to mensfitness.co.uk has increased significantly and steadily over the past couple of years and we have continued to respond to our readers by launching this new and improved site, which provides consistently exceptional advice from the world’s leading authorities on training and nutrition. As the lives of our readers become more time-pressured, it’s vital that they can turn to an online resource that gives them everything they need to know to live a fuller, fitter life.”

To celebrate the new look, Men’s Fitness is launching its first ever Fittest in Media challenge with the aim of finding the fittest man or woman in media. For the next two months, the Men’s Fitness Fittest in Media team will travel far and wide across all media agencies to find the very fittest people in the industry. Already signed-up to take part are Mediacom, MGOMD, Maxus, Vizeum and Universal McCann.

Contestants will be asked to perform a three-minute challenge, consisting of a minute each of press-ups, sit-ups and burpees, with no rest in between. The person able to do the most moves in the allocated time will be invited to the grand Fittest in Media final, being held this summer. A leaderboard will be hosted on www.mensfitness.co.uk, so agencies can see how they are faring as the competition progresses. The overall male and female winner will walk away from the event with a prize package, trophy and the title of Fittest in Media.
