Senior appointments at IBT Media

IBT Media has recently appointed a new Director of Strategy (Content) and Director of Digital Product for its EMEA operation.

Justin Evans, who joined earlier last month as Director of Strategy, formerly led the News and Sport content verticals of Time Warner AOL Europe as European Digital Director.

At AOL, Evans was responsible for business planning, strategy and marketing. He directed content programming, the launch of new channels, including FanHouse, ecommerce verticals and mobile properties. He later led the transition of an offshore content program in Bangalore, India and acted as a digital strategy consultant specialising in the areas of finance, automotive and travel, working with brands such as BMW, Mercedes and RBS.

Dev Pragad, Managing Director for IBT Media across EMEA said, “For IBT Media, 2016 is all about the next stage of development and growth. Justin will serve as a nexus between our editorial and commercial teams and will help oversee the strategy for IBT UK and Newsweek EMEA. We are very excited to have such strategic and deep diving talent steer and lead our content and digital strategy.”

Other corporate management hires include, Simon Phillips, who joined IBT Media earlier this month as Director of Digital Product EMEA, from WhatHouse.

With fifteen years’ experience in digital marketing, Phillips spent a number of years as Digital Media Manager at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, where he was responsible for developing the digital strategy to engage and communicate with the club’s global fan base. He also worked as a digital project manager and web programmer at Guardian Newspaper, Net-a-porter.com and News International.

Phillips has also worked agency side to help clients such as BAFTA and the English Cricket Board plan and develop digital strategies.

“Simon has proven himself a versatile and driven digital professional. We are incredibly excited to welcome two such talented individuals to IBT Media as we look forward to another year of exponential growth,” added Pragad.
