Steve Cox is new editor of Anglia Afloat

There is a new person at the helm of Archant’s East Anglian boating magazine Anglia Afloat.

Steve Cox (pictured), who works for Archant Norfolk, has been appointed editor of the magazine which covers all aspects of leisure boating across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

“I am delighted to be taking over as a new spring and summer of boating activity gets under way,” he said. “The boating sector is an important part of the East Anglian economy as well as giving tremendous fun to lots of local people. I am looking to reflect all of that as we build on the achievements of the publication, whose sales are growing strongly.”

Mr Cox, who is married and lives in Norwich, has been an Archant journalist for more than 25 years, including 13 years on the business staff of the Eastern Daily Press, and he is a keen sailor.

He takes over as editor from Paul Thomas, who will remain as a consultant and contributor to the magazine.

Anglia Afloat is published every two months and the circulation is around 6,000 copies.
