The Times unveils budget video for kids

With George Osborne delivering the 2013 Budget today, The Times has created a quirky, animated video for kids, explaining the role of the Chancellor of the Exchequer and how the country’s finances get divided up.

The video acts as an educational piece enabling The Times’ younger readers to gain a better understanding of a current and topical news story.

Readers will be able to view the video via the augmented reality app Aurasma.

The video can also be accessed here.

Suzi Watford, The Times & The Sunday Times Marketing Director, said: “This is a fun way for our younger readers to get to grips with a tricky and important subject using a simple but engaging video. It’s also a great example of The Times using innovative technology to encourage the next generation to interact with the newspaper.”
