The promotion sees Romano move from his current position as group advertising director of Time Inc UK’s Specialist brands where he played a pivotal role in the ongoing NME brand transformation. Joining Time Inc UK (then IPC Media) in 2001 as a classified sales executive, Romano progressed to hold several senior positions within advertising, before being appointed group advertising director, Specialist in 2012.

Romano takes up his new role on 1 July and will report into Paul Cheal, group managing director, Innovation Group.
