Vive Le Rock - launch

Vive Le Rock, a new quarterly title from Big Cheese Publishing, goes on sale on 14 October, priced £4.99.

According to distributors COMAG: “A brand new music magazine bringing you the bad boys of rock ‘n' roll, Vive Le Rock will serve up the very best from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and beyond!

Featuring bands and artists from punk and new wave, glam and garage through to mod and primal rock ‘n' roll, as well as the dark side of the ‘80s.

Issue No.1 will focus on legendary New York punk band The Ramones, with smaller features on other icons such as David Bowie, The Clash, Madness and The Pogues.

Future issues will concentrate on bands like Devo, The Who and the Sex Pistols as well as outlaws like Johnny Cash, Johnny Thunders, Jerry Lee Lewis and Tom Waits, legends who have rock ‘n’ roll coursing through their veins.

Alongside such classic bands, Vive Le Rock will be covering new acts who have taken their lead from the ‘50s through to the ‘80s.

So whether it is Rancid, White Lies, Hank III, The Bronx, or up-and-coming hellraisers such as The Jim Jones Revue, if they are hot, then they will be featured in Vive Le Rock.

Having built up a dedicated readership on its Vivelepunk.net website over the last three years, this 116-page, full colour print title is launched on the newsstand to coincide with the renamed and relaunched website to www.vivelerock.net.

Every issue will carry a 15 track CD from both the coolest cats on the block as well as the legends who paved the way for them.”
