Air Business, a global distribution, subscriptions and e-commerce management company, has strengthened its business continuity plans with the acquisition of a diesel generator at its head office and distribution centre in Hatfield.
Phil Ions, chief operating officer at Air Business, commented: “We are constantly reviewing our contingency plans, and with an impending energy crisis and whisperings about power shortages this winter, we weren’t willing to take any chances with our distribution operation.”
Chief executive officer, Adam Sherman, added: “We are fully committed to delivering for our customers so the generator provides an additional level of security to ensure that any potential disruption is minimised. The generator is capable of powering the entire site, enabling us to work at full capacity throughout any potential outages.”
Air Business says it already has a backup generator in place at its offices in Haywards Heath, where the company’s subscriptions arm is based.
