Alexandra Shulman and Lily Cole team up for PPA Festival

The complete schedule for The PPA Festival 2016 has been unveiled, capped off with a special session featuring Vogue Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Shulman and former Vogue model-turned-actor and entrepreneur Lily Cole.

Shulman, one the biggest names in magazines, will be interviewing Cole at the event in central London on May 12, which comes during the Condé Nast brand's celebrations to mark its centenary in 2016.

Cole is appearing on behalf of her organisation Impossible, which is poised to publish a limited-run magazine in May that loosely documents, and relates to, the organisation’s activities over the past two years. Entitled Impossible To Print, the publication is edited by Graham Erickson and includes content from Impossible workshops with Joss Whedon and Paul McCartney, as well as interviews with climate politicians and gift economists, Caroline Lucas and Mark Boyle.

The session takes place as part of The Big Picture, one of the four stages at this year’s PPA Festival, which features more than 60 senior speakers from, among many others, Bauer Media, Dennis Publishing, Facebook, Hearst Magazines UK, Immediate Media, The Big Issue, and Time Inc UK.

Barry McIlheney, CEO of the PPA, said: “This incredible line-up of speakers and mix of sessions is the strongest in the event’s history, and we are incredibly excited to welcome huge names such as Alexandra Shulman and Lily Cole to this year’s event.

“The PPA Festival has established itself as the essential event in UK magazine media, and May 12 is a unique opportunity not only to tap into the key issues of today, but also to look up at and get excited by the opportunities of tomorrow.”
