Good Food is one of the UK’s number one food media brands, comprising Good Food magazine, the website goodfood.com, which Immediate says had over a billion page views last year, the Good Food paid for app, Good Food live shows, the largest food event in the country, as well as millions of followers across social media platforms, and the Good Food podcasts.
Barclay, formerly the group digital editor of bbcgoodfood.com and olivemagazine.com started her media career at the BBC and has over 15 years' experience working on media brands. She is a former winner of both the PPA and the BSME Editor of the Year (2022) and is currently on the judging panel for the recent PPA Awards 2024.
Lily Barclay says: “I'm hugely excited to start the role of content director at what is a pivotal time for Good Food and olive magazine, these are trusted brands that have seen meteoric growth, and today inspire an audience of millions to cook and eat better every day. Content and storytelling are at the heart of all powerful brands, and I am lucky to work alongside an exceptionally talented team that constantly innovate to deliver original and best-in-class content to our loyal audiences across an array of growing platforms. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the future.”
Immediate says Lily will work closely with its Food and Wellness Group MD, Jessica Norell Neeson, to grow and develop Good Food, alongside the brands that comprise Immediate’s Food and Wellness Group: Good Food, its sister brand olive, and nutrition tracker app Nutracheck.
Jessica Norell Neeson, Immediate’s Food and Wellness Group MD, says: “Lily has been one of the driving forces behind Good Food’s evolution to a digitally led multi-platform content provider while keeping the brand’s core values of quality, trust and integrity front and foremost. Lily has an unparalled in-depth understanding of our Good Food audience, the platforms they engage with, and how to leverage data to focus on a stronger customer experience and foster greater engagement. I am looking forward to working closely with her in her new role.”
