Archaeology Ireland launches complete archive for new digital edition

Archaeology Ireland has announced the launch of a new digital edition that includes the complete archive of back issues of the quarterly publication.

The publishers of Archaeology Ireland, Wordwell, have partnered with digital publishing company Exact Editions to deliver this digital offering to subscribers. With the digital archive individual and institutional subscribers alike can instantly access every published issue, from the first one in 1987 to the latest quarterly edition, creating a valuable resource of over 100 issues of Archaeology Ireland, as well as over 60 heritage guide supplements that study a range of Irish archaeological sites in fine combed detail.

The digital archive utilises Exact Editions’ platform to provide readers and researchers with a fully searchable backfile where every page is searchable and citable. Accessible across a range of digital platforms, readers can quickly find their favourite issue or article of the magazine using the Exact Editions website or with the native iOS and Android apps.

Co-Founder of Wordwell and Archaeology Ireland, Una MacConville said about the digital launch: “Our new digital edition looks fantastic online, it will be a valuable resource to our subscribers and help us reach new audiences around the world.”

Daryl Rayner, Managing Director of Exact Editions said: “Exact Editions are excited to be working with Wordwell to help Archaeology Ireland reach new and exciting heights. The digital archive makes for a remarkable resource that our institutional subscribers will be keen to utilise.”
