Auto Express launches new van channel

Auto Express, one of the UK’s leading motoring titles, has launched an all-new van channel on autoexpress.co.uk, in partnership with insurance experts’ Direct Line for Business.

Auto Express Vans will be targeting the UK’s growing commercial vehicle market (up 7.6% in the first half of 2013) with a mix of reviews, news, advice and videos.

The partnership with Direct Line for Business will see Direct Line for Business advertising, content and a prize draw run across the site over a six-month period.

The van channel launches with over 48 reviews covering the entire market including Auto Express’s recently crowned Van of the Year, the Ford Transit Custom, plus reviews of increasingly popular pick-ups. Auto Express Vans will provide buying information for prospective van owners as well as advice features for van and business owners looking to make their next van purchase.

Direct Line for Business are providing information that can also help guide a van purchase with indications of insurance costs across the van range.  Direct Line for Business banners on the site and features within newsletters and email broadcasts should help to keep the importance of considering insurance during the van purchase process front of mind.  In particular, dynamic adverts on the van homepage and the vehicle review pages will engage by pulling in information from the actual review being read.

To celebrate and support the launch, Direct Line for Business will be running a prize draw to win a Citroen Dispatch van, worth over £17,000.

James Burnay, Managing Director of Dennis Motoring, said: “We’re delighted to be launching Auto Express Vans. There is a real thirst for good quality, honest reviews on vans and the Auto Express van channel will give users the information they’re looking for.”

“Direct Line for Business is a fantastic fit for Auto Express Vans and we’re thrilled to have them as a launch partner. We’ve worked closely with them to add value to the Auto Express launch, help raise awareness of the new content and aid the user experience.”

Jasvinder Gakhal, Head of  Direct Line for Business: “There’s a huge cross over between what Auto Express readers want and what Direct Line for Business can offer, so the partnership with Auto Express Vans is perfect for us. It has been a pleasure to work with them to create a campaign that will offer added value to our existing customers and those generally interested in the van content. We’re particularly excited about the Win a Van prize draw, which we think will appeal to current and potential van drivers in the right way, just as they are looking at purchasing around the plate-change in September.”
