Bauer appoints new head of direct marketing

Bauer Media have appointed Alix Thompson to the role of Head of Direct Marketing across Lifestyle, Celebrity and Entertainment brands.

Alix Thompson (pictured) joined Bauer (then Emap) in 2005 and has held a variety of roles in events, digital marketing and CRM management. Most recently she has been Direct Marketing Manager on Bauer’s Music and Parenting brands.

In her new role, Alix will be tasked to deliver market-leading subscription campaigns and provide 121 direct marketing expertise to further develop the direct customer base. She will report into Bauer Media’s Direct Marketing Director Gaynor Hemingway-Gibbs, but work closely with Bauer Media’s Marketing Director Anne-Marie Lavan to ensure all subscription activity is fully integrated with overall brand campaigns.

Gaynor Hemingway-Gibbs, commented: “Her collaborative style, commercial acumen and keen digital skills made Alix the ideal appointment. She will be a key member of both the direct marketing and brand marketing team.”

Alix starts her new role on 1 June.
