Bauer Media launches new MOJO site

Bauer Media has announced the launch of a new website for MOJO.

All content featured on MOJO4Music.com will be produced and published by the editorial team under the guidance of Senior Editor, Danny Eccleston and Online Assistant Editor Ross Bennett.

The site’s policy will mirror the magazine’s established ethos of covering music that is built to last, operating across the twin editorial pillars of covering the best new music as well as celebrating the most legendary performers in modern music.

As well as short-form content – which will include new music-focussed Track Of The Day as well as the classic video footage in Clip Of The Day – the site will also deliver exclusive long-form content, the first of which will be the 4000 word Big Read with Rhino artist and Chic legend Nile Rodgers.

Highlighting Bauer Media UK’s commitment to providing content across multiple platforms, readers will be able to access music news and content at any time as the website has been developed with a responsive HTML5 design ensuring compatibility with all tablets and smartphones.

Rhino Records will take over the site for seven days from launch to showcase a variety of their innovative products and deep catalogue from the likes of artists such as Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, and The Smiths. The deal was brokered by the 7 Stars media agency.

Phil Alexander, Editor-in-Chief and Associate Publisher of MOJO magazine, commented: “The re-launch of MOJO4Music is a great news for music obsessives around the world as we believe it will give them access to great music, filtered as ever through MOJO’s discerning point of view. This fully responsive site will ensure our readers have access to quality whenever and wherever they want. Along with our weekly music show, MOJO Rocks on Planet Rock, the new MOJO site is an exciting development in what is MOJO’s 20th anniversary year – further celebrations of which have yet to be revealed.”

Martin Bojtos, Music Commercial Director at MOJO, Q and Kerrang!, added: “Building on great content and design, the new Mojo4Music.com site will also offer our clients a wide range of new advertising options to effectively target our passionate audience, including high-impact formats, mobile advertisements and much more. We are delighted to welcome Rhino Records on board as our launch commercial partner given their iconic status amongst our core audience.”

Olly Walsh, Head of Digital, Rhino UK commented: “Rhino is delighted to partner with MOJO for the launch of their new website. Music fans turn to MOJO for unbiased and high quality journalism; the new site looks set to enhance this reputation as well as grow the online audience thanks to its sleek design, rich media and deep content offering. We’re excited to be able to showcase our extraordinary new releases and look forward to continuing our successful relationship with the brand, both in print and online.”
