British GQ announces the return of its iconic GQ Men of The Year (MOTY) with brand new headline partners Jo Malone London. The 2024 celebration, now in its 27th year, will be held in London on Tuesday the 19th of November.
British Fragrance house, Jo Malone London comes on board for the first time as MOTY’s headline sponsor for this event, aligning with GQ’s vision of celebrating the visionaries lighting up the creative industries today, added the publisher.
Honourees who have shaped culture, fashion, entertainment and sport in 2024 will be recognised by their peers at a scented candlelit dinner. British GQ says audiences will get close to the action through a dedicated editorial, video and social rollout on its platforms in the lead-up to the event and over the course of the evening. From red carpet interviews to exclusive photography, GQ and Jo Malone London’s content will be a snapshot of what goes on behind the scenes.
Last year’s event saw toasts raised by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Jodie Turner-Smith and Dan Levy to honourees Andrew Scott, Jeremy Allen-White, Ncuti Gatwa and Boygenius.
Adam Baidawi, head of editorial content at British GQ, and Deputy Global Editorial Director of GQ, said: “We’ve spent the past three years architecting a new era of Men of the Year, transforming the event into a content powerhouse globally. Last year’s campaign pulled down more than 75 million engagements in the UK and beyond. We are proud to welcome Jo Malone London, a true British icon, as the new headline partner for Men of the Year.”
Jo Dancey, Jo Malone London, senior vice president, global general manager said: “At Jo Malone London it’s been a year of commemorating incredible leading men, it feels very fitting to now be the headline sponsor for GQ’s Men of the Year. A title that celebrates creativity and honours global personalities whose culture shifting contributions have helped define the highs of the year.”
Men of the Year will be celebrated globally with a season of programmed events. The publisher says kicking off in November, Men of the Year will be celebrated across all 20 editions of GQ spanning 6 continents with high-profile local events, toasted honourees and celebrations from London to Madrid, Tokyo to Los Angeles and beyond.
