Dennis launches personal trainer app

Dennis Publishing has announced the launch of LWR Personal Trainer, an app which turns your Apple or Android smartphone into a personal trainer.

Celebrity personal trainer and best-selling fitness author, Lucy Wyndham-Read, has worked closely with Dennis Publishing to develop this app with the busy lifestyles of modern women in mind. The application builds each user a customised fitness plan to actively improve the health and fitness levels of working women who don’t have time to exercise every day.

LWR Personal Trainer features a huge range of workouts and exercises, stress reduction tips and healthy eating recipes. These are compiled into a personalised plan for the user based on their BMI, their fitness goals and the areas of their body they particularly want to tone and train. LWR Personal Trainer focuses on fitting in an effective exercise plan around a busy schedule with short, easy to follow exercises that don’t require special equipment. It also aims to keep users motivated through a personalised approach to simulate the experience of having a personal trainer and provides motivational videos to give users that special boost when they need it the most!

Martin Belson, Commercial and Retail Director at Dennis Publishing, said: “Dennis Publishing is taking fitness forward with the launch of the LWR Personal Trainer app. We produce top quality fitness content in print and online, but we saw a real opportunity with the app to make the content really fit with how women live. Whilst it’s a competitive area, we didn’t feel any of the existing fitness apps really involved people and helped motivate them. The personalised, narrative approach of LWR Personal Trainer will really help people be able to easily fit exercise into their working week. We’ve worked with Lucy before and her approach to fitness and the way it should fit into your life without dominating it is one that really chimes with what women want.”

Lucy Wyndham-Read, founder of LWR Personal Trainer said: “This is a great opportunity to help all women who don’t have time to exercise everyday, but want to get fit and healthy on the go. LWR Personal Trainer has been specifically designed in order to help women lose weight, look fit and feel fabulous. The world is getting smaller, and with the advent of smartphones and iPhones it felt like the perfect chance to help millions more women on the go look and feel better whilst managing their work life.”

LWR Personal Trainer is priced at £1.49 and is now available to download for Android and Apple devices. Just search Personal Trainer on the App Store or Android Market. To find out more about LWR Personal Trainer visit www.lwrfitness.com/app
