Egmont expand Disney magazine offering

17 July: Egmont UK is expanding its Disney magazine portfolio with a new monthly Disney title: Disney Stars.

Aimed at Boys & Girls aged 3-7, each issue will offer an exclusive look at the latest Disney stars.

The magazine will be a series of specials bringing out the magic of Disney, engaging fans with imaginative editorial, taking in depth looks at new characters, celebrating old favourites, and introducing all the latest Disney stories. It will be published monthly and priced at £3.99.

Laura Adnitt, Publisher, Disney Stars, Egmont Publishing Group, said: “We are really excited to be working with Disney on bringing this new premium magazine to market. It is fantastic to be able to extend the reach of our Disney portfolio and Disney Stars will be the place for children to immerse themselves in all the top Disney franchises of the moment.”

The first issue of Disney Stars will go on sale on the 17th July and will focus on Monsters University. The magazine will come with a special student gift set; a play laptop with USB lock, pencil & topper and a student card.

Retail support will be strong, says Egmont, with listings at all major retailers; Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons, and WHSmith High Street and Travel.  Promotions will also run with all the major supermarkets around the launch, along with trade press advertising.
