ELLE UK appoints new deputy editor

ELLE, the women’s fashion brand published by Hearst Magazines UK, has appointed a new Deputy Editor.

Highly respected and experienced journalist Natasha Pearlman (pictured) joins the editorial team later this spring.

Natasha has a wealth of experience in beauty, fashion and lifestyle journalism across leading news organisations as well as digital and commercial experience. She is currently Deputy Editor at Fabulous Magazine where she manages a team of 30 journalists and helps oversee editorial projects such as the development of a new digital product and a recent redesign of the magazine.

Prior to this, she was Features Editor for News of the World, and Associate Editor and Commissioning Editor for the Daily Mail’s Femail section where she was responsible for editing the weekly magazine, managing columnists and generating top news stories.

Reporting into ELLE’s Editor-in-chief, Lorraine Candy, Natasha will manage the ELLE editorial team and work closely with Lorraine on new editorial initiatives for the brand across print and digital. She will oversee the brand in the editor's absence and develop fast moving news content across all of ELLE's platforms.

She replaces Jennifer Dickinson, former deputy editor at ELLE, who is now the Acting Editor of Harper’s Bazaar, also published by Hearst Magazines UK.

Lorraine Candy says: “I am very excited to be appointing such an experienced journalist with a deep understanding of the luxury and commercial fashion and beauty market place. Natasha joins ELLE at an exciting time as we embrace further digital innovation and a more reader focused luxury magazine. Natasha has an excellent understanding of glossy magazines and an impressive track record on improving and innovating editorial products. She is highly respected and passionate about fashion.”

Natasha Pearlman says: "I am delighted to be joining ELLE at such an exciting time in its history - and to get the chance to work with such an inspiring and ground-breaking Editor and team. ELLE is a brilliant publication, one I have long admired, and I am incredibly proud to be joining Lorraine as she leads the magazine into its next chapter."
